How do I return unwanted products?

That’s no issue. As long as the parts are unused, unsoldered, and in their original packaging, they can be returned up to 90 days after the original purchase date.

Please notify us by email that you are returning the parts and please read the Returns page for complete instructions.

Can I pre-pay Import VAT and Duty for my order?

If you are within the EU, you can prepay VAT and duties. Please read the Notes on Shipping for more information and details regarding exceptions.

How can I enter a discount coupon?

Before starting the checkout process, enter your coupon code in the 'Coupon' field on the Cart page  It is essential that you apply the code before completing the purchase, to receive the discount.

Can you match capacitors and resistors on request?

Yes, we can match resistors and capacitors. This service has a nominal charge; you can add the product to your cart here.

We can match pairs or quads of resistors/capacitors. In the order comments, please write the exact parts you’d like to match and any other specific details.

What guarantee do you offer on your products?

We do not offer any formal guarantee on our products. If you receive parts you believe to be faulty, please contact us immediately.

We are a reseller, and manufacturers may offer their own guarantees or warranties. Again, contact us for further information.

Can I get help in choosing a product for my project?

Of course! Please email our technical team at the email address info@hificollective.co.uk

Please provide us with as much information as possible regarding your project and any images/diagrams you believe will be helpful to us when assisting you.

If my order hasn’t been dispatched can I modify the order I have just made?

Yes, but please know that we aim to dispatch orders on the same day. So, if you want to modify your order, email us at sales@hificollective.co.uk immediately.

State any additions or substitutions you would like to make, but please check that any additional parts you would like to order are in stock - by using the website.

I want to order a custom inductor value. Is this possible?

Yes, you can order custom values of both Mundorf and Jantzen inductors. Simply order the next value up and state the exact value you require in the comments box when you make your order.

Inductors can only be produced in two decimal places, and the DCR (resistance) cannot be modified.

We can only complete the request if you follow the instructions above.

If a product is out of stock, can you let me know when it’s available again?

Please use the stock alert system on the product page. You can enter your desired amount, and you will receive an email when we receive the item back in stock.

You must have an account and be logged in to use this feature.

How long does it take to process returns?

Once we receive your return, we will process it in 1-3 working days. Exceptions apply if we are understaffed or busy. Once the return has been processed, you will receive an email from our returns department.

Please follow the instructions on the Returns page to ensure we can process your return efficiently.

Is all product technical information up-to-date?

We strive to provide the most up-to-date information about our products, including dimensions, weights, diagrams, and images. However, manufacturers often change product details without notifying us, and with the number of ranges we stock, information can occasionally be out of date.

Can you make me a custom product?

As a general rule, we can only build cables or stepped attenuators that are listed on the website. If we have the capacity, we can accept custom builds, which will be charged at our standard rate of labour.

How will wire/cable be sent to me?

Wire/cables are always sold in a continuous length, unless you state otherwise, the lengths you require must be written in the Order comments. Otherwise the default continuous length will be sent.
