We are proud to now list in our catalogue a few of the Solen range of capacitors. A brand that has been around for many years and has been a staple of many speaker manufacturers.
 
First, we offer their range of "FAST" Capacitors for use in crossovers and audio signal circuits. The PA (250Vdc), PPE (630Vdc) & PPM (1000Vdc) with a large number of values available.
 
Also, we have the hidden gem of a capacitor the 1000Vdc Solen FEP Tin Foil/Teflon Film Capacitor. Often overlooked but they sound amazing in valve equipment.

FEP Tin Foil / Teflon Film 1000Vdc Capacitors
 
These axial capacitors use Teflon film and Tin foil in their constructions. They can withstand very large RMS currents both at high frequencies and high temperatures, resulting in a very long life.
 
Having had first-hand experience with these often overlooked capacitors they do sound outstanding and well worth trying in your audio equipment.

The FAST CAPACITOR™ concept is mainly obtained by decreasing the film width from the standard round tubular winding type configuration to a shorter FAST tubular “square aspect ratio” round winding type which decreases the winding resistivity and also increases the contact area.

PPM Polypropylene 1000Vdc Capacitors
 
The 1000Vdc version features a lower winding resistivity and larger contact area that will decrease, by a measurably large amount equal to the “Performance Improvement” percentage, the Equivalent Series Resistance and the Dissipation Factor of the capacitor.
