LL1961: Lundahl Moving Coil Input Transformer (1:3.2, 1:6.4)
LL1961 has a low turns ratio and a low impedance moving coil step-up transformer. The LL1961 transformer combines our dual coil structure with Cardas high-purity copper wire in an oversized design. The objective of the LL1961 is to provide an alternative suitable for solid-state systems, where classical high turn ratio transformers are not required. The purpose of the Faraday shield is to make galvanic isolation between the cartridge and phono-stage possible. The dual coil structure greatly improves immunity to external magnetic fields from power supplies, motors, etc. The core is our unique amorphous cobalt uncut strip core. The transformer is housed in a mu-metal can.
The LL1961 has 2 step-up ratios (the external connections determine the ratio, see the datasheet)
