Using pure silver as an outer surface over the copper conductor creates a better balance and a natural presentation than silver-plated copper's usual ‘pinched and austere’ sound. Silver-plated cables create a negative chemical reaction, creating a diode effect between the thin silver micron plate and the copper surface. Dalby avoids this at all costs.
