Cardas 2 x 21.5 AWG Shielded Twinaxial Interconnect Wire

Cardas 2 x 21.5 AWG shielded interconnect wire multistrand pure copper Litz. An individually sleeved conductor pair (1 red & 1 black) with overall shielding in a fine white PFTE covering and finally a dark blue jacket. Each strand of the conductor is polyurethane coated.

The overall wire diameter is 4.7mm. The diameter of each inner conductor is 1.45mm, and the diameter of the inner copper multistrand conductor is 0.68mm.

Suitable for hookup wire and interconnect.

All Cardas wires are Litz conductors, whereby each strand of wire is individually enamel coated. For soldering, this enamel coating must be removed. This is best achieved using flux and a solder pot to tin the ends. Alternatively, tin your soldering iron with solder and run the wire through the solder on the iron, the coating will melt, and you can scrape it off. Litz wire reduces the impact of the skin effect and the proximity effect - great for audio.
