LL1680: Lundahl Line Output Transformer

The LL1680 line output transformer is made to match or exceed the specs of the UTC transformer LS-27. The LS-27 was used in the RCA Tube Mike Pre (which was used in BC-2B Consoles). For the internal insulation of the LL1680 high-impedance sections, we used paper (and not polypropylene foil) to minimize internal capacitance. Each coil consists of three sections to optimize leakage inductance versus interwinding capacitance. The transformer has a unique audio C-core of Lundahl's production.

The LL1680 is ONLY available for single-ended operation. (The air-gap is adjusted during manufacture to suit)

(N.B. The purpose of the airgap is to accept the DC current of the output valve without saturating the core, leaving enough headroom for the sound signal)

Also, there is an option to have a Faraday Sheild fitted to your transformer to reduce the noise floor.
